Paint the World

Wohoo updating a little early this week!!! :D

After the last update  I've been working on a few projects. I've been pretty busy with work and all the other stuff that I've tried to get done on top of going home for the weekends.

I'm just gonna go ahead and spam some pictures I took while I was home at first.... :'D

Now then onto the projects that I've been working on!!

1. University stuff: I needed to finish my last assignment that I got for the summer and luckily with the help of Mari I managed to get it done with relatively little stress. :) <3 Last Saturday we met up at my place and worked on her two essays and my assignment together. Doing school work with friends is so much better than struggling with them alone! If I would've done it alone I wouldn't have been able to get it done nearly as fast as we did together. Thanks boo! <3

2. DIY mural: There was one wall in my living room that was really plain and I wanted to decorate it somehow. I saw someone's tutorial of how to make your own mural and decided that I would try it out. It took a really long time to decide what I wanted to paint onto the wall, but eventually I decided on the silhouette of the World map. I think it suits my other decor pretty well and it wasn't impossibly hard to paint. Here are some pictures of the process:
Doing this was actually really fun and I kind of want to paint something like this again. I just don't really have another wall to paint on.... :'(

3. My hair!!! I've been really tired of this black and green ombre color for quite a while now. The only reason I dyed it this way was so that if I needed to go to job interviews or something like that I didn't want my hair to be a problem. Now that that's no longer a problem (I got a summer job and I'm going to start my summer vacation after next week) I really want to get rid of this color combo.

So...

I've been fading this color for a few weeks now. I've been mostly using the Vitamin C method to fade the colors out. So far so good: the black turned into a reddish brown and the green... well... So far it has turned into a baby diarrhea color... <3 :))))) I've also now done one bleach bath and I don't plan on doing anymore of those. I diluted the bleach bath with a lot of shampoo so that the damage to my hair was minimal and it took out quite a lot of the green color. I've also done an overnight coconut-oil bath and before doing the bleach bath I slathered my hair in the coconut-oil so when I applied the bleach-mixture I really avoided a lot of damage. :) My hair doesn't feel like shit so I'd call this a success.

Here's a tip if you're trying to fade out hairdye:
Head & Shoulders Anti-dandruff shampoo is very effective in stripping out hairdye so using it to fade colors out is a simple and inexpensive way!

My recipe for the Vitamin C method:
  • 4 tablets of 1000mg Vitamic C (use 2-10, but be careful since some people may be sensitive to having that much Vitamin C on their head. Start with a few tablets and figure out what amount is the best for you) crushed into a powder
  • A tablespoon of honey
  • About 1 dl of shampoo
  • Mix together
  • Apply to damp hair
  • Leave on for about an hour or two
  • Wash out with warm water
  • Condition hair

But since I want to go blond (and we'll see what I'll do after that) this is not nearly good enough. However this time around I'm not going to do this on my own. I'm actually going to a hairdresser next week! Me! Going to a hairdresser! A miracle has happened! Not really... The only reason I'm going is because I don't want to cut a lot of my hair off after bleaching it and I've heard rumors of this Olaplex treatment that will reduce damage from bleaching a whole lot, so... For once I'll leave this up to professionals. I really hope my expectations are not completely destroyed this time around... The last time I went to a hairdresser to get my hair colored it turned out to be a nightmare and she messed up my hair real bad.... Fingers crossed!
 Before & After

Currently my hair is even lighter than this, since I've done the bleach bath but I don't have pictures of the current color yet.

Alright, now for the rest of the pictures that I have for this week:
Baby diarrhea<3

Hopefully in my next update my hair will be fab...

See you next time!! <3
