Little My is all grown up

Alright... This update is definitely going to be mostly about my hair... Which went through a major transformation since the last update.

So let's get right into that part.

As I showed in my last update my hair went from black and green to a coppery brown and lighter tones of green. And I also mentioned that I was going to go to a salon to get it platinum blond.
Now to be completely honest with you.... The colors were extremely faded by the time I went to the salon and I expected them to be able to get it at least to a very light blond, maybe not platinum. I was relatively sure that they would be able to pull it off. Unfortunately though that did not happen.
Sure we bleached my hair and I think she did a color remover as well (emphasis on the "I think" since the hairdresser didn't explain to me at all as to what she was doing, which actually would have been nice).  She did put in an olaplex treatment, which I asked for (olaplex treatment is used to keep the hair in good condition so that even if the hair is bleached it shouldn't break off or get severely damaged). After she washed out the bleach she dried my hair and then it was time to start thinking about what we should do next. The top parts of my hair were yellow to be sure and my ends were a very, very light tone of green, which you know.. Wasn't what I hoped to be the end result but I thought we were well on our way to get to a nice kind of even light blond. In the beginning she suggested that after the bleach we would tone it to a cool blond to counter the yellow tones, but after she actually dried my hair she told me that I should go red or orange, since she wouldn't be able to get the green out.
I've had my hair dyed orange before, years ago and it looked just fine. I've also had those phases of orange hair in between bleaches and they have looked pretty okay as well, so orange by no means is an unfamiliar color for me. By this time I had been there for more than three hours and I was anxious to just get it done. So... I said fine dye it orange if that will get rid of the green.
Another hour and a half later my hair was orange. Kind of... A very uneven orange. At this point though I didn't bother asking her to tone the color so that there wouldn't be these awkward patches of different shades because I was dead tired and already needed an aspirin. She cut off about 2cm from my ends so that the hair would be in a better condition and then we were finally done.
(I was not happy at this point...)

And now my hair is orange. Not blond like I hope it would have been, but hey this doesn't look that bad especially now that I toned it and the color is a lot more even. I got one of those Biozell toning treatments in the color "Mandarin". I slapped that onto dry hair and let it sit for about an hour. That really helped to even out the horrid shades of brownish orange that I had in my hair. I also ordered some Directions jars of "Mandarin" so that I can use them to touch up the color.
Long story short: it's been many, many years since I went to a salon to get my hair done since that had been a complete disaster and that I decided that I'm going to give it a try I have to say I'm not sure if it was worth it, unfortunately. And my hair is now bright orange. It'll probably stay that way for a while, after which I'm probably going to try going blond again.

That's it for my hair adventure!

Here's some other pictures of stuff from these past weeks:

That's all for this update. It may be a little tl:dr... but oh well :D

See ya!<3
